Chorus Directors' Workshop Training - Intensive

THE CHORUS DIRECTORS’ WORKSHOP INTENSIVE (CDWI)
This very successful programme has been 'borrowed' from the USA It overcomes the limitations of a general Chorus Directors’ programme which, because of the time available, focuses upon the personally identified needs of the participants.

FIVE YEAR PLAN
The intensive and personal approach to this educational programme means that it will take up to 5 years to get all the front line directors through the system. Inevitably, some CD's will receive the benefit earlier than others, however, the final result will be a more focused, relevant educational programme for the individual concerned.

THE PERSONAL TOUCH
The CDWI programme will involve the CD's in determining what is dealt with on the day. The trainers are there to assist them overcome whatever problems and issues they think is the bottle neck to the improvement and development of their chorus. Each workshop is restricted to no more than 4 CD's, using two or more trainers to get really close to the issues.

NO NEED TO APPLY
The CDWI team will contact you or your CD direct. They will endeavour to select participants in a fair and equitable way. The selection of the CD's and the date to go through the process is decided by the team working in one of the 7 new BABS Districts. The decisions will be influenced by availability of a chorus, the trainers and the CD's themselves. Please be patient if you are not part of the early programme, you will get your turn, we promise!

THANKS TO THE TRAINERS
The Association would like to thank Rhiannon Hall and her team for their total commitment to this long term project. They will be giving up a considerable amount of personal time over the next few years, for the benefit of everyone. We would also like to thank World Harmony Council Europe for a grant which enabled Rhiannon to attend a special CDWI training course in the USA.

If you have any queries or feed back please contact Rhiannon direct or Mike McKeown who is helping to administer the events. Details for Rhiannon and Mike can be found >here<
