Full Streams

Six full streams provide a dedicated weekend of study in the following areas.

Chorus Stream - provides a great opportunity to sing throughout the weekend. For newcomers to our hobby and for first-timers at College, it offers a full weekend's music making and is especially recommended as a chance for members of small choruses to sing with a larger group. Limited to 80 students!

Directing - A complete stream for everyone from outright beginners to advanced front line directors. Look forward to spending a lot of time with Steve Armstrong, one of our guest educators.

Quartet Coaching - allows quartets to receive individual tuition from our leading quartet coaches. If you sing in a quartet and the four of you wish to improve, sign up for this stream.

Theory of Harmony - understand how harmony works. Learn how chords are constructed, get to grips with the magic Circle of Fifths and other stuff!

Beginning Arranging - learn how to get started in arranging, discover the 'rules' and begin your career as a creative arranger.

Intermediate Arranging - You've got a little arranging experience under your belt and now you want to consolidate and take the next step. This is the course for you.

Mini-Streams

Six mini-streams provide the opportunity to study two subjects, each for half the weekend.

Basics of Music I - for those who seek the most basic knowledge. (Friday only)

Basics of Music II - necessary knowledge for the next step. (Saturday only)

Sing Like A Singer - learn about the vocal instrument and how to use it. (Friday only)

Discover Your Voice - improve your own vocal technique. (Friday and Saturday)

Planning The Performance - for people making decisions about interpretation and the performance plan. (Friday and Saturday)

Performing The Plan - for everybody who would like to improve their own performance skills. (Friday and Saturday)

Sunday

In a break from our normal program, Sunday this year is dedicated to plenary sessions with our visting US Educators, Steve Armstrong and Gary Plaag. In the past, many students have missed out on spending time with our guest educators. This year, everyone will get the chance to benefit from their knowledge and experience.
