Which Course?

Choosing the right course can be difficult, especially when some of them look very similar. Try this quick guide.

You mostly want to sing or improve your own voice or performance.
  • Chorus stream - you will sing a lot, in a big chorus, in much the same way as a top flight chorus would rehearse.
  • Sing Like A Singer - if you don't know your larynx from your pharynx, this could be for you.
  • Discover your voice - improve your own voice with one-on-one coaching.
  • Performing The Plan - develop your own visual performance skills.
You want to expand your knowledge.
  • Sing Like A Singer - if you don't know your larynx from your pharynx, you definitely need this one.
  • Directing - for directors, coaches, section leaders. Everything you need to know.
  • Planning The Performance - get to grips with the song and develop your visual presentation skills.
You want to read/understand music.
You want to learn how to arrange.
  • Theory of Harmony - You might need this if you don't already have a grasp of chords and the circle of fifths.
  • Beginning arranging - you will need to know about the theory of harmony, but this is the course for you.
  • Intermediate arranging - extend your knowledge and expand your horizons. Arrange a song. Come back next year and hear the chorus sing it!
You are a director, section leader or other musical leader
You sing in a quartet.
  • Any of the above - would increase your contribution to the quartet.
  • Quartet Coaching - the obvious choice if you can all be there.
