Harmony College, one of the highlights of the barbershop calendar, will this year celebrate its 33rd anniversary.

The College is open not only to BABS members but also to the ladies of LABBS and Sweet Adeline choruses and, indeed, to anyone with an interest in the close harmony sound.

The College attracts singers

• who have only recently joined a chorus and are full of enthusiasm to improve their technical skill and understanding of the close harmony style
• who are members of a small chorus but wish to experience the thrill of singing in a larger group
• who are members of a quartet and are looking for advice and coaching to enable them to improve
• who have no barbershop experience but wish to discover what close harmony is all about.

Many people return annually, clearly appreciating the quality of tuition they receive from the excellent teaching faculty, the pleasure of singing and learning together and the sheer enjoyment of meeting up once again with friends and like-minded singers.

There will be college songs for chorus stream members with CDs to assist with learning, morning warm-ups to start the day, full and mini-streams, the Saturday Show and the opportunity to purchase the specially-printed College polo shirt. This year too, something different is planned. You can attend for just one day, either Friday or Saturday and take part in a mini-stream of your choice on either day. This will make the college more accessible for those who can't attend for the whole weekend.

All this plus en-suite accommodation for everyone, appetising meals and the bar adds up to a great weekend. And best news of all - course prices for the weekend are exactly the same as last year for BABS members. Now, where else over the past twelve months have you met such a deal?
