Harmony College, one of the highlights of the barbershop calendar, will this year celebrate its 31st anniversary.
The College attracts singers
- who have only recently joined a chorus and are full of enthusiasm to improve their technical skill and understanding of the close harmony style
- who are members of a small chorus but wish to experience the thrill of singing in a larger group
- who are members of a quartet and are looking for advice and coaching to enable them to improve
- who have no barbershop experience but wish to discover what close harmony is all about.
The College is open not only to BABS members but also to the ladies of LABBS and Sweet Adeline choruses and, indeed, to anyone with an interest in the close harmony sound.
Many people return annually, clearly appreciating the tuition they receive from the excellent teaching faculty, the pleasure of singing and learning together and the sheer enjoyment of meeting up once again with friends and like-minded singers.
As usual there will be college songs with CDs to assist learning them, the Saturday Show, Pick 'n' Mix to provide a break from your main studies and an opportunity to purchase the special College polo shirt.
All this plus en-suite accommodation for everyone, appetising meals and the bar adds up to a great weekend.
